These blooming teas are made up of silver tip tea leaves carefully shaped into small round bundles. When brewed, the tea is mild and light tasting, scented with jasmine, and the blossoms open to reveal a bright pink blossom of Globe Amaranth (Gomphrena globosa) at the top.

Blooming or Flowering tea is an exciting new way to enjoy tea and be entertained at the same time. It is not on the shelves at most local supermarkets.

Creating one flowering tea bundle is incredibly labor-intensive. Buds and leaves are hand-picked. As the leaves dry, they form silver needles which are hand-tied together. A flower is inserted in the middle of the bundle. When boiling water hits the tea, it expands to reveal a beautiful flower.

Blooming tea is a premium tea. Each bundle can be used three or four times which lowers the price. With up to three times the amount of antioxidants of other green teas, it blossoms before your eyes into an unexpected gift of health and beauty.
